SPLs choregraphy was pretty blah, apart from the knife/baton fight with Wu Jing and Donnie(which I hear was mostly improvised). With Jaa’s expertise in Muay Thai, Acrobatics and other various arts, he became one of the biggest martial arts movie stars in history very quickly. When wire work took over the cinema, people looking for real, human stunts finally got their wish with this film. Wu Jing (which opened 1 at the Chinese Box Office, earning more than 32.5M. It’s still hard to believe Tony Jaa is really gonna do SPL2 with those HK filmmakers. Tony Jaa sprung onto the scene with Ong Bak in the early 2000’s.
